Woods Favors Drug Testing On PGA Tour

Tiger Woods said he would like to see testing on the PGA Tour for performance-enhancing drugs as soon as possible to make sure golf remains clean.

"I don't know when we could get that implemented," Woods said. "Tomorrow would be fine with me."

Woods did not say he thought anyone was using steroids, but said it could be a problem in the future.

"I think we should be proactive instead of reactive," he said. "I just think we should be ahead of it and keep our sport as pure as can be. This is a great sport, and it's always been clean."

Former baseball star Albert Belle sentenced to jail

Former major-league slugger Albert Belle was sentenced to 90 days in jail and five years' supervised probation Thursday in a case in which he admitted stalking his former girlfriend.

Belle, 39, pleaded guilty in July to one felony stalking count. He was been arrested and charged in February, then arrested again May 17 at his Scottsdale home after he again contacted the victim. He has been jailed since the second arrest and received credit for time served only since he entered his plea.

Belle's former girlfriend told police in January that she discovered a Global Positioning System tracking device that had fallen off her car. She also said Belle had threatened her.

The volatile Belle often ran into trouble on and off the field during his playing days.

Superior Court Judge James Keppel warned Belle that if he contacts the victim again, he will send him to prison.

Could Trump buy Cubs?

So if Donald Trump purchases the Chicago Cubs, will team manager Dusty Baker be hearing "You're fired!" shortly thereafter?

That may be getting a little ahead of the game, but in an interview on 670 The Score in Chicago, Trump said he'd be interested in purchasing the franchise.
Trump, appearing as a guest on the "Mike North Morning Show," was asked if he would want to own the team. His reply: "I would be interested, yeah. I think the Cubs are a great franchise, a storied franchise, an amazing franchise.

"It's sad to see what's happened to the Cubs, but management hasn't really done a good job over the years."

"I would certainly be interested in the Cubs," Trump said.

The Tribune Company is reportedly considering selling the struggling team.
